Как сообщает Ministry of Antiquities, в Луксоре египтологи обнаружили около 30 статуй самой значимой богини древнеегипетского пантеона — Сехмет.

Похоже, что статуи Сехмет были вырублены из цельного куска черного гранита. Каждая статуя, по оценкам египтологов, не превышала двух метров.

Что интересно, все статуи разные. Одни изображают богиню, сидящей на троне и держащей в руке «ключ жизни» — анк. Другие статуи, изображают стоящую Сехмет, держащую в руке амулет. На голове богини на всех статуях присутствует урей и солнечный диск.

Несмотря на то, что практически все статуи разломлены на куски, все же их можно собрать, чтобы воочию увидеть древнюю красоту.

В данный момент все статуи отправлены на реставрацию.
